asembl. has collaborated with Softcat and the Cisco Alliance Team for several years on various projects, including incentives, events, design, office sales days, personalised gifting, and logistical support. Over this time, we have built strong relationships with both companies. We understand their shared objectives and what motivates their teams.

The Brief.

When channel partners like Softcat work with numerous tech manufacturers, it can be challenging to stand out in a competitive market. In such cases, a little enticement can go a long way (all the way to San FranCisco! 😉).

The Cisco Alliance Team tasked asembl. with creating a memorable experience to engage the Softcat sales team, drive sales of Cisco products, and reward top performers.

The Incentive.

The inspiration behind this incentive program was to return Cisco to its roots in San Francisco, the Golden Gate City. We designed an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime San Francisco experience that the Softcat and Cisco Partnership team members could fully embrace and get excited about over the course of a yea

Approach.

When designing a program, we focus not only on the end incentive but also on how to create genuine engagement and excitement throughout the year-long initiative, ultimately driving sales growth.

The campaign kicks off with a powerful launch that clearly outlines the incredible experience available to qualifying Softcat team members. After the launch, maintaining momentum is essential through regular communication, mini office sales days, and mid-campaign incentive events. This approach aligns behaviours and motivations with the overall goal.

Identity. 

We aim to ensure that the campaign is immediately recognisable, as today’s audiences often experience considerable ‘noise’ throughout the day (via email, Teams, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.). To achieve this, we create a distinctive event identity that cuts through.

The campaign begins with a powerful launch that outlines the remarkable experience available to qualifying Softcat team members. Following the launch, it’s critical to maintain momentum through ongoing communication, mini office sales days, and mid-campaign incentive events to align behaviours with the overall goal.

Experience.

The incentive program launched at Celtic Manor and included themed days at over 10 Softcat locations throughout the year, allowing team members to connect with the incentive. At these offices, we created an atmosphere with American diner styling, a retro jukebox playing classic American songs, and delicious American BBQ or build-your-own sub lunches, all complemented by mega milkshakes. At the midway point, top sellers enjoyed an exclusive dinner and drinks at The Ned, where prizes were awarded to the leaders at that stage.

The grand finale was a once-in-a-lifetime trip to San Francisco. The tailored itinerary featured all the must-see attractions, from iconic sightseeing spots and electric bike rides over the Golden Gate Bridge to escaping Alcatraz and indulging in delicious dining experiences, along with some late-night fun—a blend of culture and celebration.
